what is so great about SBOA school????

Hi guys& gals,

Today is your day to step into one of the most well known schools in India.. they have branch schools all over India. Just to share some facts with u all... This school campus itself resembles our spore schools.. SBOA is well known for its basketball... They have been state- level champions for years... Like our spore schools, SBOA also place alot of emphasis on CCAs besides Aacdemics.. Sometimes... too much pressure is placed on the kids.. sorry.. to say.. this is my personal opinion... But their future has strong foundation which paves way for their success. Getting admission in SBOA is really tough..Parents tend to queue up overnight to get a seat for their kids.. hahah sometimes the queue is longer than our queue for 1 dollar- petrol promotion.Fees are also expensive... ( consider the facilties in campus)..

Their participation in cultural aspects is also gd.. Recently, kids from SBOA got Young film maker award for their documnetary or short film.. Like our polytechinc comrades... they are also exposed to multi media stuff at early age itself..

So I am really happy for you all.You are able to experience and meet such ambitiuous kids and environment.. thanks to teachers... and GEL.. In person, you all get to see many things too.. enjoy...

The world is getting more competitive and.. we also work hard and motivate ourselves..to succeed one day...

send in more posts , kids...take care. bye.

Day,2 group 4

Hello! group 4 here yah. today is day 2 of our trip here in india :D we have had so much fun so far and we are excited about the memories we will bring back to s'pore. Today after breakfast we went to Dakshin Chithra. it was a true eye opener for all of us. we managed to get in touch with our roots. the place was mainly about how our grand-parents, or even our current relatives here, live in india. different castes had different sorts of houses which were unique in their own way. since it was a culture-shock for us, it has reminded us not to lose our culture because it is so rich in history. there were also demos for us such as sarees being made and glass being 'blown'. we were astonished and impressed with the locals' skills of survival because they were so innovative with the things they made. although we didnt buy anything from , we truly praise them for their talents. this experience has reminded us that we too have talents that we do not use/realise.

We also went to MAHABALIPURAM. It was a tourist attraction in india and many foreigners were there at the place and they were all astonished by the amazing sculptures which resembles indian cultures and traditions. The place was also packed with many indian locals selling thier handmade products (souveniers) to the buzzing crowd . -.-
We also saw "krishnan's Butter Ball". It was a big rock on a slope...with a little support from its base. This amazed us as it had very little support and it had been standing there for thousands of years. Lastly tomorrow we are going to a school and we look forward to it, so we have actual facts to compare.
